So I love my shoulder tattoo it is my favourite but I cant help thinking it would look nice finishing just above my elbow??? what do you all think??? I would hate to ruin the femininity (spelling?) of it by going to far! and how can I add to it with the design being upside down at the top of my arm?
excuse the cheesy picture!:phttp://i226.photobucket.com/albums/dd213/Dianehabraham/S7300075.jpg

Wow, your hair has got so long. I don't think it will ruin the femininity of it, or your femininity for that matter. How do you mean the design is upside down at the top of your arms? Do you mean the hearts? I think it will be fine.

I'm thinking of having a pin-up girl with small butterflys coming out from behind her perhaps mixing some hearts in there too to match? not sure though?

Not if you allow thehearts to follow a criss crossy pattern, if you see what I mean, so that tey end up naturally facing the other way when they reach the end.

I think an extension would look fine.

If you added floating hearts and butterflies along with the pin-up it would make the sleeve flow brilliantly.

Femininity/masculinity is actually less about how we look and more about how we carry ourselves and speak.

I would go for it! I thought the same things about the femininity, but seeing as thought I have just started my full back piece I have acknowledged that having a tattoo doesn`t change who you are anyway.
As stated above, it`s not how you look.

I think you should go for it, and if you are worried about the upside down hearts discuss it with your tattoo artist, he is bound to of had someone in the same situation and will know how to overcome it.

My poppies go from my shoulder down near my elbow and nobody has ever said it looks bad, or wrong on a woman etc.
