Im thinking about getting my daughter's name tattooed on my lower inner arm, in old english text.
Is the inner arm a good place for a first tattoo? Is it more painful than other areas?

I have both inner and outer wrist done and it didn't hurt any more than anywhere else! anything near bone is the worst!!

I think everone has their own experience of been tattooed. It's different for everyone, so I may say that a particular area was difficult for me yet you may find it to be ok. As Ditzy di says, near bone is generally considered to be more difficult than others but I've also found that how you're feeling at the time affects it more than the location. I've been tattooed near bone and not had a problem with it and then struggled with it the next time we were working the same area. So for me, your mental attitude towards the work is most important. If you go in expecting it to be hard it probably will be. Go in with a more positive mental attitude and you'll probably find it easier. Also, I don't know if anyone would agree with me on this, but I find it best to avoid been tattooed when I've got my period. Again, could be to with mental attitude at the time or something to do with your body been more sensitive at that time of the month, but whatever the reason, it works for me :-).
Good luck!
